Our
Mission
As a Non-Profit Foundation we exist for one reason – to eliminate pool related drownings and injuries.
How
We Do It
Our work as a Foundation involves the creation and financial support for drowning prevention learning resources, programs and expanding the reach of existing initiatives.
Specifically, our activities fall within the following three areas:
We provide drowning prevention programs and resources to parents;
We provide drowning prevention learning activities and programs to children and youth;
We provide funding support to lifeguards, paramedics and other first responders to expand new or existing drowning prevention initiatives.
How
We Generate
Funding
Our funding comes from a combination of individual donations and corporate sponsorships.
Our Leadership Team
Gary Crayton
As a teenager, Gary worked as a lifeguard at pools and large waterparks. As a first responder, he experienced many close encounters and saved many lives. Later in his life, Gary worked in his father’s Tampa-based pool service company (Bay Area Pools & Spas) and later expanded the family business (now known as Pool Troopers) to become America’s largest and most accredited pool service provider. With 3 sons and 2 granddaughters, Gary’s passion and advocacy for pool safety has never waivered.
Hillary Rymer
Hillary has grown up around pools and gained a love for swimming at an early age. Her passion for swimming helped her succeed as a competitive swimmer most of her life, culminating with a spot on the University of Alabama Swim Team. Growing up Hillary also served as a lifeguard during her summers, where she learned about the importance of water safety training, and knowledge. She currently looks forward to sharing her love of swimming and water safety with her son Mac and infant daughter Collins.
AD Gonazlez
AD Gonzalez currently serves as President and CFO for Pool Troopers, the largest and most accredited pool service company in the United States. He is a huge advocate of water safety and has made it his mission to do everything possible to champion parent and child water safety education – as well as first responder initiatives.
